First road trip

We took Claire in for her first appointment with her Pediatrician on Monday and he said everything looks perfect!! Jess is staying up nights with Claire as she seems to be a bit of night owl. She is letting me sleep so I can go to work and I appreciate that soooo much. It's definitely wearing on her as she needs her sleep, but she's a trooper. Here are more pictures of the baby!! Here are a few more pictures from today. Claire had her hearing test this morning (which is where the headphones are from) and the test went perfectly. We met our pediatrician this morning and he is great. Thank you all for your emails and text messages. We really appreciate it.

She's here!!

As most of you know Claire Marie Sugamele arrived at 5:06 P.M. on Wednesday, February 20, 2008. She is 8 lbs on the nose and just over 20 inches long. Jess was in labor for 10 hours and was quite the trooper, but Claire just did not want to leave her nice warm place. The doctor finally had to attach a baby vacuum and help her along. She came out just about as perfect as can be and all of her vital signs are good. Jess is sore but felt no pain after the first 2 hours of labor thanks to her new best friend...the epidural!

Today was the most amazing day in both of our lives. I can't begin to describe how I felt the second Claire was born. We are very blessed and can't wait to share our new little bundle of joy with all of you. I'll keep the pictures coming! We love you all.

Getting close!

So today Claire is due to be born, but it doesn't look like she is ready to come out of her warm safe place in mommy's belly. We went to see the doctor on Tuesday and he said she has not dilated at all, but that things are progressing nicely. We have an inducement date at the hospital on Wednesday, February 20th, so Jess could have her any day between now and then.

We have the baby's room all ready to go besides a few decorations here and there. We are really getting nervous now. Everytime Jess calls me, I get butterflys!! We will keep you all up to date.
